Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated minimum Level 2 Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role is term time only (38 weeks per year) and involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development of children aged 2-5 years. The Early Years Educator will play a crucial role in supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing through engaging activities and effective communication with both children and their families.
Duties
* Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children in your care.
* Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and support individual learning needs.
* Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding their child's development and well-being, providing regular updates and feedback.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team environment that supports the overall mission of the nursery.
* Uphold health and safety standards within the nursery setting, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
* Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills in early childhood education and childcare practices.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience working with young children.
* Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
* Strong management and leadership skills to guide and support junior staff members.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for potential travel between locations or outings with children.
