Senior Officer Transition Services

Would you like to work with the Inclusion Services Team to deliver an excellent advice, guidance and support service to staff and learners.

Do you have experience of analysing management information systems, managing staff and resources, implementing efficient operational procedures and providing advice and guidance to staff on ALN and Equality issues? If so, this may be the role for you.

Salary Details: BS26-29 equivalent to £32,916 - £36,573 per annum

This is a 4-point incremental scale with progression to each point on an annual basis. Commencing salaries will be assessed in accordance with the College’s starting salaries matrix.

Hours of Work: Full Time (equivalent to 37 hours per week)

Contract Type: Salaried - Permanent

Holiday Entitlement: 28 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays per year (increasing to 32 days for 5 years + service) plus statutory bank holidays & college efficiency closures

Qualifications: A relevant professional qualification at minimum level 5 is essential.

Experience: It is essential to have knowledge and experience of promoting the needs and legal entitlements of learners under Equality and ALN legislation. You will have experience of analysing and producing management information, managing staff; and providing advice, support and training within an organisational context.

You will be working with the Inclusion Services Management team to ensure the delivery of excellent and responsive Inclusion Services support to all staff and learners. You will lead and direct on the day-to-day operational running of the Transition Services team, ensuring that a high-quality confidential service is provided to all staff and learners.

You will line manage a team of Learning Support Assistants, be responsible for human and physical resource deployment. You will comply with College Policies, Procedures and Legislative duties. You will ensure that appropriate levels of support, advice and guidance are provided for learners with ALN, Learning Difficulties or Disabilities or protected characteristic and for staff that are supporting these learners.

This role will be undertaken on the College premises in Haverfordwest. The College has a flexible working policy but due to the nature of the role, home or remote working cannot be agreed on a regular or permanent basis.

Byddwch yn rheoli tîm o Gynorthwywyr Cymorth Dysgu, yn gyfrifol am ddefnyddio adnoddau dynol a chorfforol. Byddwch yn cydymffurfio â Pholisïau, Gweithdrefnau a Dyletswyddau Deddfwriaethol y Coleg. Byddwch yn sicrhau bod lefelau priodol o gefnogaeth, cyngor ac arweiniad yn cael eu darparu ar gyfer dysgwyr sydd ag ADY, Anawsterau Dysgu neu Anableddau neu nodweddion gwarchodedig ac ar gyfer staff sy'n cefnogi'r dysgwyr hyn.

Bydd y rôl hon yn cael ei chyflawni ar adeiladau'r Coleg yn Hwlffordd. Mae gan y Coleg bolisi gweithio hyblyg ond oherwydd natur y rôl, ni ellir cytuno ar weithio gartref neu o bell yn rheolaidd neu'n barhaol.
