Connected Health is recruiting for a Head of Operations to lead and develop our Supported Living service. The role involves operating within an innovative care environment while helping manage, develop, and grow the service across Connected Health’s footprint in Northern Ireland.

Roles and responsibilities
* Provide leadership, management and guidance of the highest standards by supporting our team to ensure Live Connected clients receive the best outcomes.
* Work with the Head of Service development and engagement to develop new services in line with Connected Health strategic growth plans.
* Cultivate a positive, cohesive and therapeutic environment and manage disciplinary, grievance, untoward incidents and complaints within the service.
* Achieve the highest levels of compliance with regulations, laws, quality standards & policies, aiming for an Outstanding RQIA compliance rating.
* Be accountable for Health and Safety of staff and clients; ensure policies and procedures are followed to provide a safe working environment.
* Promote the aims and values of the Connected Living brand.
* Continuously review and improve operational processes, leveraging technology to deliver an efficient service.
* Identify and recruit high-quality Support Workers, implement excellent training and maintain high retention ratios.
* Support service users towards independence and collaborate with Connected Health partners through multi-disciplinary/agency teams.
* Ensure staff training is delivered and quality care services are consistently achieved.
* Ensure effective scheduling to deliver allocated care; conduct and record spot checks and audits electronically.
* Complete and continually improve Care Assessments, Risk Assessments and Care Plans to achieve service user outcomes and exceed expectations.
* Operate the business in a paperless manner, embracing technology and electronic communications with clients and loved ones.
* Be aware of Key Performance Indicators and accurately record and report statistics to the Director as appropriate.
* Implement efficient administration procedures to comply with Living Connected Care policy and regulatory/legislative requirements (rota planning, medication storage/dispensing, annual reports, etc.).
* Perform ad hoc duties to support staff and meet business growth needs.
Essential criteria
* Hold, or be working towards, an NVQ Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supported Living
* Experience and knowledge of the Care Industry in a similar leadership role with regulatory inspections and capability to pass the RQIA registration interview
* Full clean UK driving licence with access to own transport
Desirable criteria
* Experience and knowledge of the Domiciliary Care Industry

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to discuss services and values with clients and referrers
* Advanced computer skills, including MS Office, report writing, and systems knowledge
* Self-motivated and flexible; willingness to participate in an on-call system for out-of-hours work
* Excellent organization, planning and attention to detail
* Creative and strategic thinker able to influence and implement improvements with the team
