Join to apply for the Warehouse Team Manager role at TieTalent. This role is with GXO Logistics Supply Chain Inc., joining the Sainsburys team at the site in Sherburn in Elmet.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working any 5 days from 7, on a rotating shift pattern of 06:00 till 14:00 and 14:00 till 22:00. The role involves managing and leading a team in a multi-temperature environment (ambient, produce, chill and frozen), coaching, motivating and engaging the team to create a strong work ethic and positive culture.
Salary and benefits include up to £36,000.00 per annum and 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day
* Lead operational activities in your area for the duration of the shift to achieve the work plan on time and in line with budget and KPIs
* Drive performance through effective monitoring of coaching and performance
* Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement
* Lead the team on shift proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation
* Management of the warehouse training requirement and function
What you need to succeed
* Proven experience in managing a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment (ideally a food operation)
* The ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent planning skills
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement
