Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Domiciliary Care Workers to join our growing team. In this role, you will support service users within their own homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life.
As this is a community-based role, you will be required to travel between service users homes throughout your shift. Moving from one visit to another in a timely and reliable manner is essential, as our service users depend on your punctuality and commitment.
Duties
Personal Care & Wellbeing
Support service users with washing, bathing, dressing, and toileting.
Assist with grooming and personal hygiene to promote dignity.
Help with mobility, transfers, and use of equipment (hoists, walking aids).
Medication & Health Support
Prompt and administer medication in line with care plans.
Monitor and report changes in service users health or wellbeing.
Provide reassurance, emotional support, and companionship.
Meals & Household Support
Prepare meals and drinks according to service users preferences and dietary needs.
Support with feeding where required.
Carry out light domestic duties (cleaning, laundry, tidying) to maintain a safe and comfortable home.
Community Care
Travel from one service user to another within the community as scheduled.
Ensure visits are completed on time and in line with individual care plans.
Record all care provided accurately in daily records and company systems.
Teamwork & Professionalism
Communicate effectively with the care team, families, and other professionals.
Maintain confidentiality and safeguard service users at all times.
Represent the organisation with professionalism and compassion
Requirements
Ability to travel between service users (driving licence and own car highly desirable).
Strong IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to work as part of a team while also being able to work independently when required.
A genuine passion for providing compassionate care to individuals in need.
Previous care experience helpful but not essential full training provided.
