Health Care Assistant - Acute Medical Elderly

We have the opportunity for individuals who are caring and compassionate and enjoy being part of an established hard working team to join us on Ward 22 in a Clinical Support Worker role.
Ward 22 is a 31-bed Acute Elderly Care Ward. We care for some of our most vulnerable patients, many with multiple long-term conditions, and we also look after telemetry and complex Parkinson patients. Our team is friendly, supportive, and passionate about safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.
Main duties of the job
To assist Registered Nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team in implementing patients\' care plan.
Also undertake some clerical and domestic duties to ensure a safe environment.

Person Specification
Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training
* A good standard of general education to GCSE level and the agreement to undertake the relevant L2 qualification on appointment (Please discuss the apprenticeship opportunities available to aid the completion of the qualification with the recruiting manager)
* Experience working in a clinical environment
* Experience working in the NHS
Knowledge and Skills
* Previous experience and training of manual handling patients using appropriate equipment
* Can demonstrate an understanding of the importance of promoting patient independence
* Able to provide support and reassurance to patients.
Personal Attributes
* Ability to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* A positive attitude and ability to act on feedback
* Polite, friendly, approachable and self-motivated
