Band 5 Occupational Therapist
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the Therapy Team at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, part of United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT). This is an excellent time to join the organisation, with significant investment in therapy services and the continued development of our Front Door pathways.
The successful candidate will join our rotational Band 5 programme, gaining broad clinical experience across both acute and community settings. Rotations last approximately six months and include specialties such as Medicine, Care of the Older Person, Orthopaedics, Surgery, Respiratory, Community/Outreach, Outpatients, and Front Door.
You will be part of a supportive 7‑day therapy service, developing core Occupational Therapy skills and clinical confidence across diverse environments. ULHT delivers an integrated Therapy Service with a strong focus on rehabilitation, early intervention, and the prevention of deconditioning. We are committed to providing high‑quality, patient‑centred care across the Emergency Department, inpatient wards, outpatient services, and community pathways.
Throughout the rotations, you will be fully supported by a large, experienced, and collaborative therapy team that is committed to your professional growth and development. You will provide high standard Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment interventions within an integrated therapy team of over 60 staff members.
The post‑holder will be based at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, with an expectation to travel to at least one additional site—most likely Lincoln County Hospital.
All Occupational Therapists benefit from protected CPD time, as well as the opportunity to attend locally organised courses run by nationally accredited tutors.
