Main Duties
1. Deliver on the objectives of the commercial management strategy.
2. Administer and optimise NEC4 contracts, from high-volume activities to one-off, high-value projects.
3. Build trusted, collaborative relationships with supply chain partners.
4. Lead on commercial processes: change, valuation, disputes, and final accounts.
5. Assess and certify completed works, payments, and performance incentives.
6. Monitor, forecast, and report on contract performance to enable informed decision-making.
7. Spot opportunities to drive efficiency and innovation across contracts and processes.
What we're looking for
8. We’re keen to hear from candidates with:
9. ✔ Strong background in contract administration and commercial management (ideally within NEC4).
10. ✔ Financial management and analytical skills — able to translate data into insight.
11. ✔ Excellent relationship-building skills with the confidence to influence and negotiate.
12. ✔ Experience managing disputes and resolving complex issues.
13. ✔ Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Contract Management, or Civil Engineering.
14. ✔ Bonus points if you’re chartered (RICS) or working towards it, and/or have exposure to the utility or water industry.
