Job Summary
Protect our customer's property, people and assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.
Working Hours
Days/Nights/Weekends – 36 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver results that meet and/or exceed the key performance indicators / service level agreement for the customer, ensuring full responsibility and accountability.
* Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).
* Proactively review the Assignment Instructions and suggest amendments to improve the level of service.
* Maintain compliance with all policies, legal and regulatory requirements, UK law, and guidance bodies.
* Wear required licences (Security Guarding or Door Supervision front‑line licence; CCTV PSS SIA Licence) at all times.
* Comply with safety requirements, including renewing licences 16 weeks before expiry.
* Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.
* Work systematically, methodically, and orderly.
* Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge through training.
* Look out for and immediately report any health & safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
* Stay alert to threats, take appropriate action to reduce risk of disruption, loss or damage.
* Use common sense and initiative; involve others if a situation becomes threatening.
* Maintain professional conduct with difficult customers.
* Complete accurate notebook entries quickly after any incident for the Incident Report process.
* Maintain schedules, demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the client.
* Ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated times as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).
* Call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.
Training and Development
* Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.
* Undertake additional training directed by the Security Account Manager to ensure continuous professional development.
* Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Previous security experience.
* Valid SIA License.
* SIA Licence renewal 16 weeks before expiry.
* Desired NPPV Level 2/CTC or SC Clearance.
* Ability to obtain industry and statutory licences required (front‑line licence, CCTV PSS SIA Licence).
