Job Description
Do you want to help create a better environment for people, wildlife, and the planet? Join our team working with industry to reduce CO2 emissions, improve air quality, and address the climate emergency. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the Climate Change Trading & Regulatory Services (CCTRS) team, assisting customers to comply with UK Government climate change schemes.
The work involves:
1. Registering and supporting operators to meet compliance obligations.
2. Providing advice and guidance to regulated entities.
3. Processing permits and applications.
4. Managing and safeguarding records and data.
5. Interpreting new guidance and legislation.
6. Collecting and analyzing data.
7. Conducting compliance audits and enforcement within regulations.
8. Responding to customer inquiries.
9. Participating in incident response and business continuity support, which may include additional payments and training. Flexibility in working arrangements will be provided.
While we promote flexible working between office and home, occasional travel to our offices in Warrington, Sheffield, or Preston will be necessary, with travel costs at your own expense.
The team operates within the Climate Change Trading and Regulatory Services (CCTRS), regulating UK climate change schemes such as the UK Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS), F-Gas, ODS, and others, vital to meeting greenhouse gas emissions targets.
Experience/Skills Required
* Strong organizational skills and personal responsibility for performance and development.
* Ability to deliver high standards, meet targets, and adhere to deadlines across multiple tasks.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for internal and external engagement.
* Ability to coordinate diverse data reporting.
* Continuous improvement mindset and self-motivation.
* Adaptability to new IT systems and interpretation of technical guidance.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
