Description
The IT Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting and enhancing the Church Management System (ChMS) and website to help achieve organizational goals. This position serves as the strategic thinker around St. Luke’s use of The Rock RMS and can translate that to operational efficiencies. This position provides user support and IT services, assists in the administration and maintenance of network and server configurations, and collaborates across departments to ensure technological alignment with ministry objectives. This position is full-time, 37.5 hours a week with Sunday morning responsibilities 2 times per month.
Key Responsibilities ChMS Administration (The Rock) & Web Content Management
* Serve as the lead developer for ChMS reporting needs while driving the workflows in the ChMs (currently The Rock RMS).
* Assist with data management tasks such as duplicate resolution, mass communications, group updates, calendar entries, registration builds, and custom reporting.
* Assist in optimization of content using SEO best practices and monitor web analytics.
* Coordinate with Web Partners to meet project deadlines and stay within budget.
IT Support & Technical Services
* Provide end-user support including installation, diagnostics, maintenance, and upgrades of Mac & PC hardware/software.
* Troubleshoot complex issues involving desktops, printers and peripherals.
* Offer remote and on-site support for all users, ensuring timely resolution of technical problems.
* Assist with desktop/laptop configuration, software setup, O365 account set-up and maintenance, Active Directory set up and maintenance, Intulse phone system phone number application and maintenance and peripheral installations as needed.
* Monitor performance of applications and software, resolving non-recurring problems in collaboration with software vendors as needed.
* Support network operations and software application usability across departments.
* Support Phishing prevention operations and testing with on-board software, KnowB4.
Communication & Collaboration
* Reports to Technology Director
* Conduct cost-benefit analyses on IT improvements.
* Assist in creating reports and procedures that enhance operational efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with internal IT controls and maintain accurate documentation.
Requirements
Education & Certification
* Associate degree in a related field required.
* A+ Certification required.
* A solid understanding of SQL and database principles is necessary for working with the Rock RMS database.
* Experience with REST APIs is important for integrating Rock RMS with other systems.
* Experience in developing plugins and custom workflows is often required, especially for extending the functionality of Rock RMS.
* Advanced knowledge of Lava and Liquid syntax and patterns needed for more complex customizations.
Experience
* 1–2 years of experience in customer service or desktop support.
* Demonstrated experience with Content Management Systems (CMS).
* Basic knowledge of HTML, web publishing and content management.
* Familiarity with SEO and web traffic analytics.
* Experience in database management and reporting.

Salary Description
