Job Responsibilities
* Clinical Leadership and Service Delivery – Provide visible expert leadership to ensure the delivery of safe and effective SACT services aligned with clinical best practice and organisational values.
* Patient Safety and Clinical Governance Compliance – Maintain oversight of patient safety. Lead and manage incidents, clinical audits, and risk assessments to ensure the SACT service meets internal standards and regulatory requirements.
* Team Leadership and Workforce Development – Lead, support and develop a high‑performing SACT nursing team, promoting a strong team culture and continuous professional development.
* Service Innovation and Patient Experience – Collaborate with the central nursing team, referrers, pharmacy, clinical and operational teams to enhance patient experience, streamline pathways, and support service growth.
Experience
* Significant post‑registration experience in Oncology/Haematology and SACT administration (minimum 5 years)
* Proven leadership and senior clinical experience (minimum 3 years)
* Strong understanding of governance, audits, incident and risk management
* A commitment to promoting a culture of safety, compassion and professionalism
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration
* Current UKONS SACT Passport
* Advanced Life Support (ALS) – or willing to work towards
* Post‑registration qualification in Oncology and/or Haematology
* Post‑registration qualification or equivalent experience in leadership and management
Other Requirements
* This role may require working outside of normal hours
* This role may require occasional travel to other centres
