Evolve Staffing Ltd is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Consultant in General Internal Medicine to join a forward-thinking clinical team based at Hereford. This role is designed for a physician who excels in managing a wide spectrum of clinical problems, ranging from acutely ill younger patients to elderly patients presenting with complex, multiple comorbidities. As a lead clinician, you will direct treatment plans and orchestrate specialist care, ensuring high-quality inpatient and outpatient experiences within a ward-based multidisciplinary team. Key Duties & Responsibilities * Clinical Excellence: Diagnose and treat patients who fall outside specific medical specialties or those with complex symptoms requiring expert internal medicine intervention. * Inpatient Management: Oversee a dedicated inpatient bed base, including responsibility for medical outliers on surgical wards. * On-Call Commitment: Participate in the weekend general medical on-call rota, typically on a 1 in 13 basis. * Leadership & Supervision: Provide clinical and educational supervision for Foundation trainees and clinical fellows, including those working towards CESR in G(I)M. * Service Development: Lead weekly ward huddles, mortality and morbidity meetings, and contribute to the evolution of the department’s training structure. * Governance & Research: Actively engage in clinical governance, robust audit practices, and annual appr...
