Job Duties
This Court has a highly motivated and innovative staff that works very well together. We are seeking a new team member to join and adapt with the current staff in an open office environment. This role can be both challenging and satisfying. The Deputy Clerk (Grade 8) is responsible for operational duties with sporadic workflow and frequent deadlines. The individual must ensure court instructions are executed and legal documents are prepared accurately and in accordance with policies.
Responsibilities include preparing detailed court documents, data entry into automated case management systems, scheduling court matters, preparing correspondence, filing court documents, daily docket preparation, and attending court sessions. Additional duties involve answering phones, assisting customers at the counter, assessing fines and costs, and receipting payments. The candidate must be able to multitask and handle additional responsibilities as assigned. Sound problem resolution skills, high customer service standards, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are essential.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. Preferred candidates will have significant court, business, or office experience. Candidates should be highly organized with strong skills in personnel, time, and performance management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with advanced knowledge of office automation and computer software, are required. Court experience and experience handling money are preferred.
