Monetary Stipend is a JCR-ranked, peer-reviewed academic journal owned by the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) and published by Sage Publishing. The journal is published five times a year. After nearly years as co-editor, Professor Jose Manuel Torralba of University Carlos III of Madrid has decided to step down from the role. The new co-editor position will begin from February 6. Powder Metallurgy is an international journal publishing peer-reviewed original research on the science and practice of powder metallurgy and particulate technology. Coverage includes metallic particulate materials, PM tool materials, hard materials, composites and powder based novel powder based 1materials as well as their processing and properties. In addition to structural applications, the journal welcomes submissions on biomaterials, energy materials, electronic and other functional materials, membranes and porous materials fabricated via a powder route. All aspects of the process are included, from the production and handling of powders, through compaction and consolidation through various routes including additive manufacturing, to the properties, secondary processing, and applications of components. Powder Metallurgy is indexed in the Clarivate Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE)
Editorial responsibilities:
1. •Contributing to the overall visionand direction ofthejournal in collaboration with the remaining co-editor, members ofthe editorial board, IOM3, and Sage.
2. Working with the co-editor to determine the content of each issue, including commissioning of key papers and special (guest edited) issues.
3. Managing the flowofmanuscripts, including reading submitted papers,managing the peer reviewprocess,making decisions about rejection, revision and acceptance, and corresponding with authors.
4. Ensuring thatpublication processes, legalrequirements (e.g. copyright), and deadlines are met.
5. Working with the guest editors ofspecial issues.
6. Communicating with the members of the Editorial Board.
7. Promoting the journal internationally, through high quality special issues and key papers, and through attending conferences. • Keeping abreast of developments in the field and in academic publishing.
Essential Requirements:
8. A high academic degree in materials science, metallurgy, chemistry or related disciplines with an interest in materials manufacturing, specifically Powder Metallurgy.
9. At least 5 years of experience in their field (as a professional or as an academic).
10. Have an international reputation in the field of Powder Metallurgy.
11. Experienced in research project management.
12. International professional and/or academic links to scholars and practitioners in the field of powder metallurgy.
13. Experience of writing to a publishable standard in peer-reviewed outlets.
14. A commitmentto multiculturalscholarship.
15. Ability to work under pressure and manage responsibilities.
16. Good organisational abilities.
17. Strong interpersonal skills.
18. Ability to work independently.
Advantageous Requirements
19. • Experience in editing and publishing.
