NLC5 - £27,324 - £28,861 per year

An exciting opportunity has arisen working to join our Streetscene team who are responsible for the land management, grounds maintenance and street cleaning services across North Lanarkshire.

You will drive and be responsible for allocated vehicles requiring specialist driving skills, specifically operating complex vehicles in difficult or complex situations where manoeuvring skills and good judgement are required. Other duties will include vehicle checks, routine maintenance and cleaning, transporting goods and people and carrying out associated paperwork.

You will also, when not driving, be responsible for undertaking other streetscene duties, for example multi-site grass cutting, shrub/flower bed maintenance, hedge cutting, weed control and litter picking etc.

It is essential that you possess a Driving Licence Category B plus E (Trailer) or C plus E, or C1 plus E with previous experience of driving and manoeuvring loaded vehicles in difficult conditions and locations. You will be able to undertake physical duties and be capable of understanding verbal and written instructions and completing work related paperwork. You must also have the ability to use your initiative and solve problems as and when required.

It is essential that you have experience of working within a team and dealing with members of the public as well as understanding health and safety requirements and manual handling techniques.

You will require a satisfactory outcome to Hand Arm Vibration and Audiometric Testing.

(5 Positions) The hours of work will be:

* Week 1: 7:15am - 5:00pm Monday to Thursday
* Week 2: 7:15am – 5:00pm Tuesday to Friday

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
