ROLE: RF Design Engineer (Power Amplifiers)
LOCATION: Cambridge
DURATION: Permanent
Imagine mobile devices with smaller, simpler RF Front Ends and superior performance. Thats what were bringing to life with our cutting:edge technology. As a pioneering startup, were crafting next:generation RF solutions for wearables and mobiles, poised to change the game in connected devices.
Responsibilities:
My client are currently seeking an RF Design Engineer that will strengthen our hardware development team and will take responsibility for the proper integration of PA's, interstage matching networks, and integrated filters on our Multi chip Module. To do this you will do RF circuit design, run high level and detailed simulations, and use 3D sim tools for the simulation of layouts.
This requires coordinating and collaborating with our cross functional team members from product conception to developing high volume multi:chip modules.
-Work with internal and external IC design teams who design integrated digital tunable capacitors, Power Amplifiers, Low Noise Amplifiers, RF switches, RF couplers, etc.
-Integrate Power Amplifier design blocks on our multi:chip modules ensuring low loss, high performance implementations
-Develop interstage matching networks
-Optimize layouts, and integrated passives
-Work in a fast paced highly innovative start/scale up environment
-Communicate and collaborate effectively and efficiently
-Document your results and other work and share with your team members
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Requirements:
-Significant experience specifying and integrating multi:band Power Amplifiers into RF systems, and specifying and designing matching networks for these
-Knowledge of low noise, high:efficiency, high linearity design techniques for 4G/5G RF front:end modules.
-Experienced with RF fundamentals, like impendence matching, Smith charts, passive RLC, filter designs (pole/zero analysis), linearity, harmonics, etc.
-Experienced in using ADS, Microwave Office and similar simulation and layout tools.
-Some experience in the use of RF test equipment such as Noise Meters, VNA, Spectrum Analyzer in execution of Gain, NF, IIP3, and Isolation measurements and troubleshooting.
-Experience with tunable/reconfigurable RF circuits is a plus
