Project Engineer Role Overview
The role of Project Engineer is a vital one, requiring strong leadership and technical skills to manage multi-discipline engineering development and delivery of project activities across various bottling sites. This involves comprehensive engineering expertise to address current plant issues, replacement requirements, capacity increases, productivity improvements, health & safety, and environmental initiatives.
A key aspect of this role is the ability to identify and quantify development plans into Site Master plans, OBU 5-years, and relevant budgets with suitable justification. Additionally, contributing to project prioritisation exercises and managing projects that are to be progressed requires attention to detail and financial analysis skills.
Effective communication and negotiation skills are essential for identifying potential suppliers, developing optimal sourcing approaches, tendering for best overall costs, and fine-tuning chosen options to deliver maximum value-add with contractual protections.
Delivering projects to full satisfaction of operational teams, in line with approved project scope and quality, ensures optimal cost and timelines. Ensuring project delivery meets all relevant health, safety, environmental, and compliance requirements and standards is also crucial.
