We're looking for a capable and passionate Full Stack Web Developer to join our growing IT team and play a key role in shaping and evolving our suite of SaaS products. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, improving architecture and contributing meaningfully across both backend and frontend layers of modern applications.
As part of our development team, you'll take ownership of core service logic, background processing, and third-party integrations. You'll work with modern technologies from the Laravel, Vue and Inertia stack - including Tailwind, Redis, and AWS - while helping to define technical best practices and ensure smooth, scalable deployments.
This is a high-impact role offering autonomy, visibility, and the opportunity to drive improvements across the stack.
The role requires good troubleshooting skills to interpret and diagnose any bugs reported and to accurately report the steps to reproduce an issue, diagnose the issue and implement fixes with the team.
The postholder will be a self-motivated individual with a keen desire to learn new processes and keep current with trends. A professional, who can develop positive relationships to encourage the best in other team members. This will require good communication skills and the ability to prepare reports to all levels of management within our company.
Requirements
Essential
* Strong commercial development experience with PHP and Laravel with a focus on building robust, maintainable systems
* Frontend experience with VueJS, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
* Ability to administrate cloud-hosted Linux servers and MySQL databases
* Familiar with version control and modern development workflows using Git, pull requests, and peer reviews
* Solid understanding of database design and optimisation and experience working with Redis for caching and queues
* A pragmatic approach to testing and quality assurance, ideally with exposure to Pest/PHPUnit and CI practices
* Ability to write and optimise complex SQL queries
* Self-starter with an investigative mindset for thinking out of the box
* Clear communicator, capable of explaining technical concepts and collaborating effectively with team members across disciplines
Nice to Have
* Familiarity with other languages (such as Python)
* Experience with various AWS cloud products
* Understanding of WebSockets
* An interest in data analysis
* Experience with the wider Laravel ecosystem (such as Nightwatch, Forge, Spatie packages)
* Working experience of interacting on a software development project management system, such as Jira
* Ability to mentor and guide other developers
