Nurture Teacher – Full Time – Immediate Start UBT1
A co-educational Alternative Provision in the Hillingdon area of West London is seeking a dedicated Nurture Teacher to join the team on a full-time basis with an immediate start.
This provision supports students who are unable to attend mainstream school for a variety of reasons, most commonly due to permanent exclusion. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students’ emotional wellbeing, helping them rebuild confidence, develop positive relationships, and re-engage with learning.
Role Responsibilities
* Deliver tailored lessons and nurture-based support to small groups of students.
* Create a calm, structured and supportive learning environment.
* Support students with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
* Work closely with staff to develop strategies that support student engagement and progress.
* Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and emotional development.
Requirements
* Experience working with students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs or in an Alternative Provision setting.
* Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to provide both academic and pastoral support.
* A patient, nurturing and resilient approach.
* Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered on the Update Service (UDS).
