Qualifications
As Sous Chef, you'll work closely with the Head Chef to drive standards, support the team, and ensure smooth day-to-day kitchen operations You'll:
8. Lead by example during busy services, maintaining high standards under pressure
9. Support the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operation
10. Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation are always on point
11. Maintain excellent food hygiene, health & safety, and cleanliness standards
12. Support stock control, ordering, and GP management
13. Coach, motivate, and develop the wider kitchen team
14. Help create an environment where the team can thrive and grow
What We're Looking For
We're searching for a strong, hands-on Sous Chef who brings energy, initiative, and a positive attitude to the kitchen.
You'll ideally have:
15. 1-2 years' experience in a Sous Chef role or a strong Junior Sous Chef ready for the next step
16. Experience working in a high-volume, fresh food environment
17. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to think quickly under pressure
18. A proactive approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting
19. Strong communication and leadership skills
20. A passion for developing others and building a positive team culture
21. Good understanding of stock management, GPs, food safety, and compliance
