We’re working with a business leading the way in delivering energy-efficient retrofit projects across the UK. With rapid growth and new project wins, they’re looking to expand their Bristol-based commercial team with the addition of a Commercial Executive.
This is a rare opportunity to gain exposure across contracts, cost control, reporting, and pricing - while working directly with project, finance, and procurement teams.
What will you do?
As Commercial Executive, you’ll support the day-to-day commercial function - from contract setup to cash flow tracking and margin protection.
Administer and review contracts, including variations and pricing
Monitor project costs and maintain a cash-positive position across multiple projects
Track supplier spend, commercial KPIs, and work closely with finance on monthly forecasting
Help develop pricing strategies that support sustainable, consistent margins
Produce commercial reports and flag financial risks or performance issues
Liaise with project managers, suppliers, and clients on anything commercial
Support procurement with supplier negotiations and subcontractor performance
This role would suit someone analytical and commercially minded, who wants to work cross-functionally and make a real impact on delivery performance.
What skills will you need?
Experience in a commercial support or finance-related role - ideally in retrofit, housing, energy, or construction sector
Comfortable with cost tracking, pricing, financial reporting, and basic contract management
Strong Excel skills and able to present data clearly to internal teams
Confident dealing with suppliers, stakeholders, and commercial leadership
Detail-focused, commercially aware, and eager to learn
Knowledge of contracts like JCT or NEC is a bonus - but not essential
