The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of various Outpatients Clinics, working collaboratively with all divisions to ensure that all national targets and departmental KPIs are met. They will contribute to the ongoing review and evaluation of administrative systems, procedures, and policies to facilitate improvements and developments. The post holder will perform their duties in a manner that positively contributes to the organization of work, supporting the organization in achieving excellence by promoting equal opportunities, fairness, quality, and inclusion through best practices, monitoring, training, and evaluation.
Operational Leadership of Departmental Systems:
1. Manage staff daily to ensure effective administrative operations, including systems and equipment management, and the delivery of services.
2. Use initiative to ensure patients are booked and re-booked in line with local and national access targets.
3. Support the Outpatient environment by working with the Access Manager to provide a professional, efficient, and effective service across various Outpatients Clinics, ensuring KPIs are maintained. Identify capacity issues and escalate appropriately.
4. Maintain and update reports within the department.
5. Undertake IPDR and 121 sessions within the Reception Team.
As Team Leader for the Outpatient Reception Team, the successful applicant will manage team duties and demands, ensuring local targets and KPIs are met. The role requires flexibility due to short notice demands and proactive management. Ensure recruitment and staffing levels are maintained to provide continuous service delivery, enabling daily business to be completed and KPIs to be achieved. Monitor and maintain booking utilization.
