We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Band 6 Paediatric Nurse to join our dedicated paediatric team at an NHS Acute Hospital in the picturesque South West region of the UK. As a Paediatric Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care to infants, children, and adolescents admitted to our paediatric unit.
Pay rate: £45-£55 per hour

Responsibilities:
* Clinical Excellence: Delivering expert nursing care to paediatric patients, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice and safety.
* Assessment and Care Planning: Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and regularly reviewing and updating them in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
* Family-Centered Care: Providing family-centered care by involving parents and guardians in the care planning process, addressing their concerns, and fostering a supportive environment.
* Medication Administration: Administering medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to the hospital's policies and procedures and ensuring accurate documentation.
* Communication: Effectively communicating with patients, families, and colleagues, including providing clear explanations of treatment plans and offering emotional support.
* Emergency Response: Responding promptly and effectively to paediatric emergencies, coordinating with the medical team to ensure timely and appropriate interventions.
* Education: Providing education to patients and families on paediatric conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care to promote health and prevent complications.
* Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure holistic and integrated care for paediatric patients.
Requirements:
* NMC Registration: Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse.
* Paediatric Qualifications: Post-registration qualification in paediatric nursing and a minimum of two years of experience working in a paediatric setting.
* Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to supervise and support junior members of the nursing team.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Commitment to Professional Development: A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on advancements in paediatric nursing.
* Flexibility: Willingness to work a variety of shifts to meet the demands of the paediatric unit.
