About the recipient
Female aged 57 with Cerebral Palsy is looking for a support worker for 2 hours per week, days each week flexible to suit both recipient of direct payments and worker.
They like/enjoy list a few examples of art, crafts, painting, outings in the community.
About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Assisting the individual with accessing activities and spending time out in the community.Attending/transporting the individual to social activities and appointments.Encouraging social interaction and inclusion and providing emotional support.About the candidate
The suitable candidate must:
Be motivated, proactive and able to work on their own initiative.Be patient, caring and understanding.Have good communication skills (clear and effective communication).Be able to build a positive relationship with the individual to both encourage and support them.Have previous experience caring for an individual with additional needs.Be flexible to accommodate the hours of work where necessary.Must have use of own car, to transport individual to social activities and appointments.Be comfortable with animals to assist with the individual's 2 dogs.DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post - Cost to be met by the local authority.
