We are currently recruiting for a Plant Supervisor - Readymix (RMX) to join our fantastic team based within the Grangemouth Readymix materials business. Role Responsibility
Reporting to the Production Manager the role of Plant Supervisor - Readymix is an operational role and the suitable candidate will support the RMX Production Manager in managing and being accountable for the operations predominantly within our Grangemouth Readymix Plant. Safety and operational standards are the fundamentals of the role of Plant Supervisor – Readymix with delivery to customer needs with performance improvement being key.
The Plant Supervisor - Readymix will also be responsible for:
1. Supporting the RMX Production Manager in the management of plant compliance with business policies and procedures
2. Overseeing all aspects of daily production including operational costs and controlling stocks
3. Batching concrete to meet customer needs and operating the plant to deliver optimum productivity, efficiency, quality and performance to required standards
4. Liaise with Distribution Team to ensure materials are delivered, loaded and dispatched efficiently and accurately
5. Support and participate in all performance improvements and ensure initiatives are implemented in line with best practice
6. Working closely with Readymix Technical Teams to ensure quality control of all products
7. Supervising on site team, ensuring the site is operated safely, meeting legislative compliance and company health and safety procedures
8. Ensuring maintenance work on plant and equipment is carried out safely and effectively liaising with line management, suppliers and contractors as required
Key Stakeholders: RMX Production Manager, RMX Operations Manager, External Account Managers, Commercial Managers, Plant Supervisor, Distribution Team, Contract Hauliers, Credit Control Team.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role of Plant Supervisor - Readymix will already have experience in plant operations and preferably within a Ready Mix / Aggregates environment with a working knowledge of production processes.
Suitable candidates for the role of Plant Supervisor - Readymix will also:
9. Possess working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental policies
10. Actively identify and implement site and process improvements
11. Confidently manage change and be able to multitask
12. Demonstrate superb attention to detail
13. Effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels (internally and externally)
14. Evidence good time management skills
15. Enjoy working as part of a team and able to efficiently motivate others
16. City and Guilds in Concrete Practise (advantageous)
17. IOSH Managing Safely (preferred but we will train)
18. NVQ in fixed and mobile plant operations (preferred but we will train)
19. Ability to obtain NVQ in fixed & mobile plant operation
20. Full driving licence
