We’re a multi award-winning contract catering company, with a team of trained foodies serving over 45,500 satisfied customers every day. We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chef Manager to join our team.
This is a management role. You will be responsible for the running of the contract, liaising with the client to ensure customers enjoy the food and service at site, and you will be responsible for recruiting, training and motivating your team.
You will also be expected to manage the budget, complete weekly reports and stock counts, and ensure that you and your team achieve GP and budgets every week. This will require good planning and organisation skills, in-depth knowledge of contract catering to forecast accurately, and the drive to deliver innovative food and service each day.
We expect you to uphold high standards in hygiene, food safety and compliance. You will brief and support your teams and bring our values to the site. You will be a great manager and chef who can produce outstanding food inspired by the ingredients you work with to create seasonal, balanced and nutritious menus. You will participate in our culture of learning through Forums and Academy workshops to stay current with food innovation and share ideas with customers to maximise sales with our concepts and innovations.
Ideally you will have City & Guilds 706-1 and 706-2, NVQ or equivalent skills and experience, and hold a Food Safety qualification at Level 3 as a minimum, with Health and Safety at Level 2. A strong knowledge of Food Safety Management System requirements and COSHH is required.
Responsibilities
* Run the contract on a day-to-day basis and liaise with the client to ensure customer satisfaction with food and service.
* Recruit, train and motivate the on-site team.
* Manage budgets, complete weekly reports and stock counts.
* Achieve gross profit (GP) targets and budgets on a weekly basis.
* Plan and forecast effectively with in-depth knowledge of contract catering.
* Deliver innovative, seasonal, balanced and nutritious menus inspired by quality ingredients.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety and compliance.
* Engage with customers to measure success and identify new ideas to maximise sales.
Qualifications
* City & Guilds 706-1 and 706-2 or NVQ/equivalent skills and experience.
* Food Safety qualification at Level 3 (minimum).
* Health and Safety qualification at Level 2.
* Strong knowledge of Food Safety Management System requirements and COSHH.
