We are seeking a dedicated SEN Specialist Teacher with expertise in Art and Food Technology to join our specialist autism provision near Dorchester, Dorset. Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Art and Food Technology tailored to the needs of autistic pupils.
2. Create a safe, structured, and inspiring learning environment.
3. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support pupils educational and emotional development.
4. Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of sensory, communication, and learning needs.
5. Contribute to the development of personalised learning plans and EHCP targets.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
7. Experience working with autistic children or young people in a specialist or mainstream setting.
8. Strong subject knowledge in Art and/or Food Technology.
9. A creative, flexible, and empathetic approach to teaching.
10. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
