Key Responsibilities Manage the operations of two children's homes, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015. Lead and develop a dedicated team to deliver exceptional, person-centred care tailored to each child's needs. Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and behavioural support strategies to promote positive outcomes. Uphold robust safeguarding policies and procedures at all times. Collaborate with external stakeholders, including local authorities, health professionals, and Ofsted inspectors. Efficiently manage budgets and resources to maintain effective home operations. Drive continuous improvement to achieve and sustain high Ofsted ratings. About You Essential: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards). At least 2 years' experience in a residential children's home within the last 5 years. Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or management role in a residential childcare setting. Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted's Social Care Common Inspection Framework. Experience supporting children with learning disabilities and complex needs. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to meet Ofsted's "fit person" requirements, demonstrating good character, competence, and financial standing. Previous experience as a Registered Manager. Proven success in achieving or maintaining positive Ofsted ratings. Knowledge of therapeutic approaches and specialist interventions for children with learning disabilities. Experience in setting up or developing a children's home.
