Role Overview
York Learning are looking for a proactive person with a can‑do approach to problem solving to join the Operations team as an Engagement and Learner Course Co‑ordinator. This role involves working across multiple teams, line‑managed by the Operations Manager and working closely with our English, Maths and Family Learning Curriculum Manager to facilitate enrolments and provide administrative support.
You will also be part of the front‑of‑house team, dealing with enquiries and signposting to the correct learning pathways.
Responsibilities
* Assist with enrolments and provide administrative support to the programme.
* Respond to enquiries and signpost members of the public to the appropriate learning pathways.
* Follow procedures and make decisions based on preset eligibility criteria.
* Handle personal and confidential information in line with data protection requirements.
* Communicate clearly with non‑native speakers and adapt explanations as necessary.
* Work extensively with spreadsheets, databases and the Microsoft Office suite.
* Prioritise workloads to meet the demands of the service.
* Use a range of communication platforms effectively in a hybrid working environment.
* Engage in projects, partnership working and the ongoing delivery of high‑quality teaching and learning.
Qualifications & Experience
* Attention to detail and decision‑making based on preset eligibility criteria.
* Understanding of data protection and confidentiality.
* Experience working with non‑native speakers or ability to adapt communication.
* Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases and Microsoft Office.
* Strong prioritisation and time‑management skills.
* Competency in spoken English at CEFR level C2.
* Ability to provide advice and guidance to members of the public.
* Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
