Science Teacher (QTS) – September Start – Southampton

The Role:
Depending on the school and your background, responsibilities may include:
1. Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities available)
2. Delivering engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Combined Science
3. Planning, marking, assessment, and tracking pupil progress
4. Supporting pupils of mixed abilities to achieve strong outcomes
5. Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and engagement
6. Contributing positively to departmental and whole‑school development
Who We’re Keen to Hear From:
7. Qualified Science Teachers with QTS/QTLS (essential)
8. ECTs seeking their first or next permanent role
9. Experienced teachers looking for progression, stability, or a fresh environment
10. Teachers relocating to or within the Southampton area
11. Science specialists confident delivering GCSE Science (any exam board)

Contract Details:
12. Position: Science Teacher (QTS)
13. Location: Southampton
14. Start Date: September (new academic year)
15. Contract Type: Full‑time, long‑term or permanent
16. Salary: £32,916 – £51,047 per annum (M1-U3, paid to scale)
Experience, Training & Safeguarding:
17. QTS/QTLS required
18. Secondary Science teaching experience preferred
19. Safeguarding training required (can be provided)
Eligibility:
20. Right to work in the UK
21. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
22. Two recent teaching references
