The Role
As a Mechanical Estimator / Senior Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical building services projects, working closely with pre-construction, commercial, and delivery teams.
You will play a key role in the tendering process, ensuring submissions are both technically accurate and commercially competitive, with clear visibility across project scope, risks, and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing detailed cost estimates for mechanical building services projects
* Reviewing tender documentation, specifications, and drawings
* Producing accurate take-offs and pricing schedules
* Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
* Supporting bid submissions and tender presentations
* Working closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth handover to delivery
* Identifying value engineering opportunities where appropriate
Requirements
* Experience working as a Mechanical Estimator or Senior Mechanical Estimator within the Building Services sector
* Strong understanding of mechanical building services systems
* Experience pricing commercial building services projects
* Good technical and commercial awareness
* Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team
Remuneration Package – Mechanical Estimator / Senior Mechanical Estimator
* £60,000–£75,000
