About The Role
EKFB is a joint venture bringing together expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction, and BAM Nuttall. The partners specialize in designing, constructing, operating, financing, and maintaining railway networks, including Europe's latest high-speed rail projects.
We are seeking a site-based Senior Environmental Advisor to join our construction team on the Greatworth to Southam (G2S) section. This role requires regular travel to the site and other locations within the Delivery Area.
You will support the Section Environmental Manager and the Construction Team in implementing environmental, consent, and sustainability measures effectively.
You will be part of the EKFB Environment Team but will work as an integrated member of the Section Construction Team, advising the Engineering Team on relevant environmental issues to facilitate compliant construction.
Your responsibilities include monitoring, producing, and implementing permits and consents, enforcing environmental compliance policies, assisting with reporting, and attending site inspections to ensure controls are in place.
Building effective relationships with team members and stakeholders is essential.
You will promote best practices in environmental management, consenting, and sustainability, sharing knowledge and learning.

EKFB has been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works over an 80km section of the new high-speed rail between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. Our scope includes 15 viaducts, 5km of green tunnels, 22km of road diversions, 67 overbridges, and approximately 30 million cubic meters of excavation. About You
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* A relevant qualification such as BSc (or equivalent) in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Management, or related fields.
* Experience as an environmental advisor on construction or civil engineering projects.
* Good understanding of UK legislation and practical control of water pollution, waste management, ecology, soils, and air quality.
* Ideally, knowledge of chemistry for sampling and lab analysis.
* Experience monitoring issues like air quality, noise, and water management is beneficial.
* Strong written and presentation skills.
