Junior Systems Integration & Test Engineer
As a Junior Systems Integration & Test Engineer you will play a key role in supporting the design, development, and delivery of complex engineering systems across their full lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to build hands‑on experience across systems integration, testing, and requirements development while contributing to real‑world, high‑impact engineering programmes.
The role will work closely with experienced engineers to help translate customer and system requirements into practical, effective engineering solutions that meet technical, schedule, and cost objectives. The role provides exposure to the full systems lifecycle, from concept and design through to integration, testing, installation, operation, and support. It offers the opportunity to develop strong technical capability in systems thinking, analysis, and problem‑solving within a collaborative and structured engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation activities across complex systems
* Contribute to cost, risk, supportability, and effectiveness analysis across the system lifecycle
* Assist in translating customer and product requirements into structured, deliverable system solutions
* Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition activities
* Help develop hardware and software specifications based on system-level requirements
* Support engineering teams across concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, and operational phases
* Work collaboratively within project teams to contribute to problem‑solving and delivery objectives
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience
* Early‑career or developing engineer with relevant academic study, training, or practical exposure in a related discipline
* Developing ability to apply engineering principles to solve problems of moderate scope and complexity
* Strong willingness to learn and grow within a systems engineering environment
* Ability to contribute effectively to team‑based projects and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
* Good understanding of industry tools, methods, and core engineering concepts within a specialist area
* Demonstrates attention to detail, sound judgement, and a structured approach to problem‑solving
LMPeople Qualifications and Experience
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
