The Equipment Quality Lead will be accountable for developing and delivering Equipment Lifecycle Master quality plans and quality deliverables in line with contractual requirements.
The Equipment Quality Lead will report directly to the Senior Project Quality Leader and have an excellent interface with Procurement and logistics teams internally and externally to the client MITP Leader.
The Equipment Quality Lead will be responsible for all equipment quality deliverables, including ITP, Notice of Inspection, GE witness inspection program, Product NCR, and CoPQ / COR processes.
As a Quality Leader, you will require strong influencing and communication skills to align and enforce the project on GE Vernova’s ‘Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost’ priorities and promote the ‘Step up, Step in, and Step together’ culture for Safety and Quality.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Ensure production aligns with Vernova quality management system and client contractual quality requirements, including Master Inspection Plan and deliverables.
2. Develop transactional processes between internal and external clients (Project site, Supply chain, Consortium, and end client).
3. Train and develop the Project team on MITP and Equipment Quality deliverables as needed.
4. Review and approve ITPs from a quality perspective (excluding technical content).
5. Manage quality reporting, including say-do and OTD of equipment quality plan and deliverables.
6. Handle Non-Conformance management, including RCA, CAPA, and 8D processes for Equipment Non-Conformance.
7. Report and analyze COPQ and CoR issues and conduct RCA.
8. Lead Witness Inspection program with third-party inspectors.
9. Coordinate the launch of Notice of Inspection with the client in accordance with client requirements.
10. Develop and deliver Manufacturing Record Books aligned with equipment phases: design, procurement, manufacture, delivery, storage, and commissioning.
11. Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks impacting the function.
12. Apply innovative perspectives to existing solutions.
13. Utilize technical expertise and data analysis to support recommendations.
14. Draw from multiple internal and limited external sources to inform decisions.
Skills, Experience, Qualifications:
* Extensive experience in Supplier Quality, Equipment Quality, ITP, or manufacturing quality.
* Deep knowledge of ISO9001:2015 & ISO21500:2012; ISO9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
* Proficiency in RCA, CAPA, and 8D methodologies.
* Knowledge of ITP, MITP, and special processes.
* Experience with APQP and PPAP is advantageous.
Essential Experience:
* Proficiency with IT tools such as Microsoft Office, document control systems, non-conformance management systems, SAP, BIM, or similar.
* Experience with risk assessment methods like FMEA.
* Willingness to travel approximately 10-20% within the UK, and occasionally outside the UK.
* Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience demonstrating similar competence.
