About the role
The Land Survey Manager leads the planning and implementation of the survey team to support civil engineering and infrastructure projects. This pivotal role involves managing survey teams, coordinating with project stakeholders, and ensuring high-precision data collection and delivery across all phases of construction. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Earthworks, Structures & Infrastructure.
Experience managing survey teams, drones (UAVs), machine control systems, engineering surveying and supporting on-site setting out operations.
Role reports to the CWA Engineering Survey Lead
What you'll be doing
Management & Leadership:
• Lead and manage a team of surveyors across multiple active construction and infrastructure sites.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all survey activities related to site prep, bulk earthworks, structures,
road construction, and utilities.
• Carry out and oversee topographical, boundary, and volumetric surveys using advanced technology
including GNSS, Total Stations, drones, and 3D laser scanning.
• Manage and support specialist survey subcontractors.
Technology & Data Management:
• Manage the integration and maintenance of machine control systems (Trimble, Leica, Topcon),
including data prep and model uploads to plant equipment.
