We are currently seeking to recruit a Fleet Training Relationship Coordinator at the Henry Ford Academy.
The Fleet Training & Relationship Coordinator is responsible for developing and managing training relationships both internally and externally with Ford fleet customers. This role ensures that fleet operators who manage their own workshops and warranty claims are fully supported through effective, high-quality training solutions.
As a key interface between Ford and its fleet partners, you will coordinate the end-to-end training lifecycle while proactively identifying new business opportunities. You will be responsible for embedding training offerings at the proposal stage to generate revenue, improve profitability, and support business growth within the fleet and premium training sectors. You will lead a team of trainers and associate trainers to ensure Ford vehicles are maintained to the highest standards and warranty processes are executed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Coordination & Business Development
* Growth: Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and enhanced services; pitch training products to new and existing clients to drive revenue.
* Account Coordination: Coordinate the end-to-end customer relationship, from initial quoting and onboarding to implementation and ongoing service management.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with Ford fleet customers, workshop managers, and key internal stakeholders.
* Bid Support: Input into the RFQ process, ensuring training and development are represented as high-value add-ons in fleet bids and tender submissions.
* Retention: Support customer retention through regular site visits to understand operational needs and identify proactive training opportunities.
Training Coordination & Delivery
* Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end training process: needs identification, course planning, scheduling, booking, delivery, and follow-up.
* Resource Allocation: Manage a pool of trainers and associate trainers to deliver technical and warranty training programmes.
* Quality Standards: Ensure all training is delivered to agreed quality standards, within timelines, and aligned with Ford's global standards.
* Continuous Improvement: Monitor training effectiveness and implement initiatives to enhance the learning experience and operational outcomes.
Planning, Strategy & Coordination
* Forecasting: Create and manage training forecasts, actively working toward reaching growth targets.
* Logistics: Coordinate venues, materials, equipment, and efficient trainer allocation.
* Planning: Develop training schedules that align with both customer operational needs and broader business objectives.
Internal Collaboration
* Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with Ford Fleet Sales, Bid, and Warranty teams to ensure training solutions are accurately represented.
* Feedback Loop: Provide insights to internal teams regarding customer trends, market competition, and service opportunities.
* Onboarding: Lead the structured training plans for onboarding new fleet customers.
About You
Skills & Experience
* Experience: Proven experience in training Coordination, Learning & Development, or technical training delivery.
* Leadership: Experience leading, coaching, and motivating a team of trainers or associates.
* Commercial Acumen: Tenacity and drive to seek new business, meet targets, and manage budgets/forecasts.
* Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and deliver professional presentations.
* Project Management: Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise workloads, and manage complex projects from scratch.
* Technical Proficiency: Strong IT skills, particularly in using spreadsheets and data analysis to write reports.
* Industry Knowledge: Automotive industry experience, specifically regarding fleet operations and workshop environments. (Desirable)
* Warranty Expertise: Understanding of automotive warranty claims and processes. (Desirable)
* Bid/Tender Experience: Experience contributing to formal RFQ and tender processes. (Desirable)

Salary & Benefits: £45,000-£48,000 dependant on experience. Contract: Permanent / Full Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday / 40 hours per week
Place of Work: Hybrid – minimum 2 days per week at the Daventry office.
