Job Title: Equine Yard Supervisor
Location: Askham Bryan College, York
Contract Type: Part-time – 29.6 hours, Permanent
Salary: £23,815 per annum, pro rata
About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Equine Yard Supervisor with a wealth of industry knowledge to join our Equine Department/Team here at our York campus. This role will be part time and four days a week.
We are seeking an individual who will be responsible for overseeing the running of equine yard and the development of learners during their time here. Sector experience and knowledge specifically in practical equine skills will be essential.
The successful candidate will be organised with good communication and social skills. Allowing effective communication through the supervisory role. With excellent subject knowledge, experience and a keen passion for supervising the yard with the ability to motivate and inspire learners.
With excellent current knowledge of the equine industry including theoretical knowledge and practical. It would be beneficial to hold your BHS stage 3 in Complete Horsemanship or above.

Start Date: The College operates 2 starter/induction days per month to welcome and onboard new members. These are usually the first Monday and third Wednesday of each month (unless there is a bank holiday).
