Cyber Security Lead – Leeds (hybrid) - £65,000 - £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Locke & McCloud are looking for an experienced Cyber security professional to join our client. The Cyber Security Lead will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and availability of our clients' data and acting as the primary cyber security interface within the IT Department. This role requires strong leadership and analytical skills, along with a deep understanding of the company's products, services, and Service Management processes. By leveraging advanced technical expertise and a commitment to customer service, the Cyber Security Lead will secure the company's and its customers' data infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities:
* daily operations of the Cyber Security Team, including scheduling to ensure adequate resources, conducting quality reviews, and ensuring compliance with established processes and procedures.
* in for the Cyber Security Manager when needed.
* and manage the Security cloud migration process, identifying and addressing gaps from experience.
* one-on-one performance meetings with team members.
* complaints and escalations proactively, addressing issues before they escalate.
* the security of the Firm's IT services, coordinating with third parties for patching, vulnerability resolution, and system hardening.
* and maintain security support documentation, ensuring consistent and effective performance.
* with all IT Department areas to secure infrastructure from new system implementations to ongoing maintenance and monitoring.
* the team in demanding environments, provide constructive feedback, and foster individual and team development.
* as the escalation point for security response incidents, both during and outside business hours.
* the Cyber Security Incident process/procedure and Incident Response Team, conducting war games and incident scenarios to prepare the IT department for real incidents.
* forensic investigations and reporting following cyber security incidents, involving third-party specialists if necessary.
* informed about the latest security threats, principles, techniques, and protocols, including new vulnerabilities, and act on them as needed.
* within an ITIL V3 & ISO27001 service delivery framework.
* stakeholder relationships effectively.
* to defined Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
* other duties as assigned.
To be considered for the role, you should have:
* experience leading or managing a technical security team.
* experience in planning, developing, and implementing Azure security technologies.
* knowledge of infrastructure and application technologies including Server 2012+, ESX/VMware, Messaging (Exchange 2016+), IIS, SQL 2012+, Linux appliances, architecture and OS, backup technologies, Citrix, and Cisco networking.
* understanding of security technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, and log management.
* knowledge of security approaches including ISMS, risk analysis and assessments, the CIA triad, attack vectors (including social engineering), cryptography, confidentiality issues, and best practices for cyber security incident response (including triage and chain of custody).
* to proactively identify areas for improvement, share lessons learned, and encourage the same behavior in others.

* qualifications include Security+, SSCP, CISP, CEH, CCNA, CCNA Security, OSCP, MCSE, or a computing/security-related BSc/MSc degree, among other relevant certifications.
