Are you an ambitious Buyer / Purchasing Assistant with 1-2 years experience looking for your next step? This role offers the opportunity to build on your purchasing knowledge while gaining real responsibility and commercial exposure. Youll play an important role in supporting supplier performance, stock control, and supply chain efficiency with clear scope to develop as the division expands. Manage day-to-day purchasing, including order placement, confirmations, delivery tracking, and POD control. Build strong working relationships with suppliers and support negotiations on pricing, terms, and lead times. Help identify alternative suppliers to strengthen supply resilience. Monitor supplier performance (On Time, In Full, Quality, Invoice Accuracy) and support continuous improvement. Monitor stock levels in line with forecasts and customer demand. Analyse product performance and assist in managing slow-moving or excess stock. Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory data, ensuring strong financial control. Coordinate inbound freight and support import documentation requirements. Track supplier lead times and communicate any risks or delays. Support initiatives to optimise freight and reduce supply chain costs.
