Behaviour & Inclusion Support Assistant – Full Time
Location: Billingham / Peterlee area
Contract: Full time, long term
Start: ASAP
Pay: £85 to £100 per day (PAYE)
Do you stay cool under pressure and know how to build positive relationships quickly? This specialist setting is looking for someone with a naturally warm, confident presence to support pupils with social, emotional, and communication needs.
What you’ll be doing:
* Supporting pupils during lessons, breaks, and transitions
* Helping them regulate emotions and feel safe
* Using de-escalation strategies and consistent boundaries
* Working with the school’s pastoral and behaviour team
* Encouraging independence and confidence
You’ll be great for this role if:
* You’ve supported challenging behaviour before
* You understand trauma-informed practice
* You can stay calm when things feel unpredictable
* You genuinely enjoy helping pupils feel understood

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
