Job Title: Humanities Teacher
Location: Crookhey Hall, Cockerham, LA2 0HA
Salary: £31,650 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Humanities Teacher to join our team at Crookhey Hall, Cockerham.
About The Role
As a Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises pupil’s achievement and development.
This is a great opportunity for a Teacher who wants to spend less time on paperwork and more time developing creative learning opportunities for pupils with varied and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding, and you will be part of a school that maintains a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected, and involved in decisions.
Under the direction of the Deputy Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, carry out the professional duties of a schoolteacher as set out in school policies. Uphold the professional code of the GTC. Teach in accordance with the ethos, organisation, and policies of the school as a committed member of the teaching team.

* Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
* Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of pupils
* Excellent classroom practitioner
* Team player with the ability to work with pupils with challenging behaviour
* High expectations, resilience, and initiative
* Willingness to undertake training
* Experience in SEMH/ASD
Desirable:
* Experience working with challenging backgrounds
* Evidence of improving pupil outcomes
* Driving Licence

Located in a 15-acre countryside setting near Lancaster, the school aims to support pupils to reach their full potential and contribute positively to society.
