Job Title: Student Advisor – Bursary and Transport
Location: Peterborough College
Hours: Full time, Ongoing
Salary: £12.13 per hour, plus holiday pay
Are you passionate about supporting students in their educational journey? Do you thrive in a dynamic administrative environment? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Student Advisor to join our team in the Bursary and Transport Department at a Further Education (FE) College in Peterborough
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive administrative support within the Bursary and Transport Department.
2. Assist students with inquiries related to bursaries, scholarships, and transportation options.
3. Offer guidance and advice to students regarding financial support available, including application processes and eligibility criteria.
4. Process and maintain accurate records of bursary applications, payments, and transportation requests.
5. Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure seamless coordination of student support services.
6. Deliver excellent customer service, both in-person and via electronic communication channels, addressing student queries promptly and professionally.
Requirements:
7. Experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.
8. Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
9. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and external stakeholders.
10. Proficiency in relevant computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite.
11. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
12. Empathy and understanding towards the needs of students from diverse backgrounds.
13. Desirable: Previous experience in a similar student advisory role, though not essential.
