Grade H‑I SCP 27, salary £38,220 – SCP 35, salary £46,142, plus Essential Car User Allowance up to £963 pa.
Contract: 3 fixed‑term contracts – until Feb 2027, until March 2027, until March 2028.
Essential Requirements

* Registered with South West England Council

* CQSW / DIPSW / SW Degree or equivalent
The Role
This role is part of a busy and dynamic team providing statutory services to Look‑After Children and Care Leavers, many of whom have complex needs. We work with young people aged 16 to 25 to facilitate a smooth transition to adulthood.
Responsibilities
* Conduct assessment, planning and intervention to meet individual needs and manage risks.
* Support young people to develop constructive plans for future education, employment, accommodation and health.
* Maintain and improve outcomes across all aspects of the young person's life.
* Use creative and collaborative approaches to address complex behaviours and challenges.
* Safeguard and promote welfare of vulnerable adults and young people, maintaining required DBS and customer‑facing duties.
About You
* Excellent communication skills and persistence when engaging with resistance.
* Passion for helping young people aspire and achieve attainment.
* Comfortable tackling complex and challenging needs, risks, and behaviours.
* Understanding of the disadvantage faced by Care Leavers, with ability to work creatively/collaboratively to redress the balance.
