Join to apply for the Senior Teaching Technician role at University of the West of England (UWE Bristol). This hands-on role is based at Glenside Campus in the Technical Services team within the School of Health and Social Wellbeing. You will support and deliver clinical skills sessions, mandatory training, and simulation-based learning, working closely with technical and academic colleagues to provide high-quality student experiences.
Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of clinical skills and simulation sessions across a range of healthcare programmes.
* Assist in lesson planning and the development of engaging, practical learning experiences.
* Manage and maintain clinical equipment, including stock control and procurement of simulation aids.
* Collaborate with academic staff to ensure sessions are well-prepared and aligned with curriculum needs.
You'll primarily support students in Nursing (all fields) and Midwifery, with contributions to sessions for Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Radiography, Paramedic Science, and Physician Associate programmes.
About You
* Registered healthcare professional with strong and current clinical skills.
* Recent experience in a healthcare setting.
* Passion for teaching and mentoring students or colleagues.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Creative and proactive approach to supporting student learning.

This role is based at Glenside Campus, Stapleton, three miles north east of Bristol city centre.

Salary offers will be made in line with the University's salary assessment guidelines and will be based on your relevant skills and experience.
