Lineage are the world’s largest provider of temperature-controlled logistics.

At our Belle Eau Park facility in Bilsthorpe - Nottinghamshire, we supply food products to help keep schools, hospitals and restaurants stocked and supplied with food and drinks.

To support increasing customer demand, we are currently seeking a Warehouse Shift Manager to supervise the Chilled Store Pick and Load operation, as well as working with leadership to make sure our company and customer standards of service, quality, safety, and productivity are met.

Shift Pattern Available

The role

As a Shift Manager, you will:

1. Oversee the picking, de-picking an loading operations of the chilled store.

2. Manage a team of around 30 employees.

3. Supervise, train, provide performance feedback, and assign duties to direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness in the chilled operation.

4. Oversee operational procedures for incoming and outgoing shipments, organising merchandise, and maintaining accurate warehouse inventory, ensuring the safe handling of goods.

5. Plan schedules and allocate resources effectively, ensuring job assignments are completed on time.

6. Track warehouse activities including record control, employee productivity, health and safety, and operational volumes to ensure smooth running of the chilled operation.

7. Be responsible for ensuring warehouse compliance with safety standards and company procedures are followed, with a focus on maintaining a safe, efficient, and clean working environment.

8. Investigate accidents and near misses, following company accident investigation procedures to ensure corrective actions are implemented.

9. Assist with resolving employee concerns and maintain effective communication at all levels of the organisation to foster a positive working environment.

10. Ensure a high level of employee engagement throughout the shift, promoting teamwork and collaboration.

11. Maintain accurate shift reports and provide detailed feedback to the management team on operational performance and any challenges faced.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who:

12. Has previous experience in a similar warehouse management or supervisory role.

13. Has experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

14. Can communicate effectively with all team members in English.

15. Demonstrates good working practices and has a strong focus on health and safety.

16. Engages well with employees at all levels, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

17. Is proactive in troubleshooting and problem-solving to ensure minimal disruption to operations.

18. Recognises the importance of continuous improvement and is not afraid to challenge the status quo.

19. Has the ability to motivate and lead a team, ensuring high levels of employee performance and satisfaction.

20. Is committed to maintaining operational excellence.
