Salary: £168.80 - £261.78 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
The Opportunity
Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Durham to recruit a talented and enthusiastic English Teacher to start as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive department and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
You'll play a key role in developing students’ literacy, analytical thinking, and love for literature, helping them build essential skills for academic success and beyond.
Your Role Will Include
* Delivering high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Teaching a range of topics including literature, language, and creative writing
* Planning engaging and differentiated lessons to meet diverse learner needs
* Assessing, monitoring, and supporting student progress
* Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
* Contributing to the wider school community where required

What We're Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
* Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
* A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* A passion for education and inspiring young learners
* Adaptability and confidence across different school settings
