Graduate Cover Supervisor- Flexible Part-Time and Full-Time
Calling all Graduates!
Milk Education is seeking confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across Secondary and SEND schools in the Sunderland and Surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates or aspiring educators to gain valuable classroom experience while supporting pupils in a structured, positive learning environment.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and provide support to students to ensure a positive and productive learning environment. This role offers valuable experience for graduates considering future careers in teaching or education support roles.
You will also have the opportunity to work across a range of subjects, gaining broad classroom experience and developing essential behaviour management and communication skills.
We are looking for confident, adaptable individuals who have graduated in any subject area, including:
1. Maths
2. English
3. Science
4. Humanities
5. Languages
6. Art and Design
7. Psychology or Social Sciences
8. Sport and Physical Activity

Location
Sunderland and Surrounding Area’s
Hours
8:30am – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday
(Flexible part-time and full-time work available)
Pay
Competitive daily rates (dependent on experience)
Requirements
9. A university degree (2:2 or above)
10. Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential
11. Confidence in managing classroom behaviour and leading a class independently
12. Ability to provide a minimum of two references from within the past two years
13. Willingness to undertake CPD training as required by Milk Education and your placement school
Key Responsibilities
14. Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
15. Maintain a positive, structured learning environment
16. Ensure pupils remain engaged, focused and on task
17. Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
18. Support students with their learning where required
19. Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons
20. Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity of learning
