The Senior Quality & EHS Manager is a key appointment operating from a significant site with 400+ employees. We have an excellent reputation for the innovation, quality and breadth of products, supplying a wide and demanding marketplace in which the requirements for world-class quality are ever present. Our business is the development and manufacture of a broad range of fuel dispenser products with significant bespoke elements utilizing a wide range of technologies, materials and an extended supply chain.

The role is responsible for the leadership and further development of the quality function working with a professional, experienced and highly focused team of engineers and technical specialists. The Senior Quality & EHS Manager will be committed to maintaining and developing the total quality culture; proving capability to lead and motivate in a hands-on way.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure customer satisfaction within Dundee site
2. Prevent noncompliance in the production
3. Lead the production quality improvement plan (Scrap, right first time, out of box claims, COPQ)
4. Ensure continuous improvement in all quality indicators
5. Maintain ISO 9001 certifications and other certifications relevant to the business, such as MID and ATEX. Gain any new certifications driven by business needs.
6. Coordinate and validate problem solving, following internal and external failures.
7. Provide Quality system leadership to ensure internal policies, customer expectations and (local) regulatory requirements are met.
8. Contribute to implementation of relevant global DFS processes/systems/tools into the Dundee facility
9. Train employees to ensure proper Quality practices and awareness
10. Define/implement/track relevant Quality KPIs and set/drive targets that are aligned with DFS operations and business strategy
11. Control Complaint handling process; drive problem-solving practices
12. Participate in NPI and Engineering change processes to enable stable supply chain, production operations, minimize warranty costs and drive customer satisfaction
13. Initiate, track and drive continuous improvement programs
14. Manage the Dundee Quality & EHS teams
15. Think logically and define standards based on logical thinking and benchmarking.
16. Closely partner with the Engineering organization to drive robust design transfer and long term new product introduction success;

Candidate Experience and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality or related discipline strongly preferred, or comparable combination of education and experience required (5+ years experience in manufacturing)
2. Significant Quality Leadership experience managing Quality Management Systems certified to ISO standards, and customer facing role experience.
3. Strong hands-on problem-solving knowledge (e.g. A3, 5-why, ishikawa, pareto, etc.) and ability to lead complex technical/process/tool issues resolution
4. Experience effectively using continuous improvement skills and tools to prioritize and drive projects and improvements/standardization to improve Quality service levels, reduce costs, and align with strategic objectives
5. Proven problem-solving ability preferably Master Black Belt qualified with extensive DOE experience and logical thinking.
6. Excellent verbal/written communication, public speaking and presentation skills
7. Organization, time management, and prioritization skills
