Job Description
Join a regulated financial services firm with a strong reputation in specialist lending and a culture built around collaboration, ownership and continuous development. This is a chance to step into a role where your judgement, empathy and commercial awareness will make a real difference.
As a Collections Officer, you’ll manage overdue asset finance accounts, working directly with customers to find practical, fair and sustainable solutions. You’ll handle sensitive conversations with confidence, negotiate repayment arrangements, and help reduce credit risk while delivering positive customer outcomes. You’ll also maintain accurate case records, identify higher-risk situations early, and work closely with risk, recoveries and client-facing teams on more complex cases.
To succeed, you’ll need previous collections experience within financial services, ideally with exposure to asset or lease finance. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential, along with a solid understanding of FCA and Consumer Credit Act requirements. Knowledge of AML/KYC expectations and the ability to manage a busy caseload with accuracy and care will be important.
This is a great opportunity for someone who combines resilience with empathy and wants to grow in a supportive, high-performing environment.
